Gropen has been serving the Mid-Atlantic area with signs, plaques, displays and creative services for the past twenty-five years.

What began in 1982 as Gropen Design and Printing, founded by Neal H. Gropen, has expanded far beyond silk screen printing. Diversity of personnel and graphic arts methods has insured continuity, with markets currently including exhibits, signs, and plaques. Products ship around the globe. Formal incorporation was in 1988.

The increasing range of products and materials called for a much larger workplace. In 2000, Gropen moved to its present aircraft hanger / quonset hut at 1144 East Market Street. With the new space came additional personnel. Gropen’s late 90’s staff of half a dozen employees doubled. The emphasis on training and planning culminated in late 2008, when the company’s ownership transferred to Vice President and friend, TJ Ronayne, III. Neal continues to work at Gropen, offering a wealth of knowledge on a part-time basis while TJ steers the company into the future.
